Axe Canada Anthem - Great Song Choice the perfect Example of music in advertising | Brought to you by CP+B Canada
Target’s got it goin’ on for the holidays!
They have several new commercials, each with different holiday tunes that were written exclusively for Target’s holiday album. The album, The Christmas Gig, includes tracks by Blackalicious, Guster, and Crystal Antlers (featured in this ad) and they’re giving away for free on their website
I’m really excited to post this video: Having been such a big fan of Gregory Alan Isakov’s music for some years, I jumped at the chance to film this Colorado singer/songwriter performing. Im really grateful to Gregory for letting us drag him hiking up hills and clambering over rocks to get to this location.
Shot in June, on the Cornwall stop of his European tour, here he covers John Hartford’s In tall buildings, in an old quarry near Halvasso. The clouds were moving so fast that day and there was barely a break in the rain showers, but we just about managed to get whole takes before another gust of wind would blow through the water.
A good few years ago we used to go to parties in these water filled quarries. Now the music that I listen to is a little different, but it was great to be able to revisit this place.
Having toured with the likes of Brandi Carlile and Kelly Joe Phelps, he is just about my favourite songwriter right now. Please check out his previous two albums: That Sea, The Gambler; and This Empty Northern Hemisphere. For more info visit www.gregoryalanisakov.com
A big thanks to Terry, Rich, Rob and Ian at Miss Peapods and dreams music management & promotions.
